Located near a New England village, 45 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, Groton School has been educating leaders of the United States since 1884. Today, inclusion is an important theme at Groton. Students from a variety of backgrounds bring a wide array of talents to the Groton Circle. Their common characteristics of academic talent, perseverance, and kindness shape the family spirit of Groton School.

Groton is among the most selective schools in the country and in the fall of 2014, the Board of Trustees announced that tuition would not increase for a period of three years. No students were excluded from admission for financial reasons in 2015. 39% of students received financial aid. Academic facilities were enhanced in the fall of 2015 when a new wing was added to Groton’s primary academic building, the Schoolhouse. The most popular colleges for Groton graduates over the past five years have been Harvard, Bowdoin, Georgetown, Dartmouth, and Yale.
