At Hopkins School, we realize that you have many options for your education, and that choosing a school is an
important decision for you and your family. Founded in 1660, Hopkins is the third oldest independent school in the country.
Located in New Haven, Connecticut, we are a coeducational, day school for students in grades 7-12. If you are a highly self-motivated
student who wants the benefits of a challenging liberal arts curriculum combined with faculty and peers who will encourage and
inspire you, then Hopkins may be the school for you. Given our New Haven location and proximity to Yale University, we draw a
culturally and racially diverse student body, with more than 60 nationalities represented. Our student body is also drawn from more
than 50 zip codes, providing a breadth of socio-economic and geographic diversity. There is a huge range of talents and interests
amongst our students and athletics, arts and community service are integral parts of the Hopkins experience. Since its inception,
Hopkins has been committed to providing tuition assistance to qualified students, and annually awards more than $4.5 million dollars
in need-based financial aid. Hopkins may be best understood through a personal visit, and we encourage you to join us at one of the
admission events we have scheduled for interested families. The goal of these programs is to provide you with an opportunity to
meet our faculty, coaches, students and administrators and to gain a sense of our unique and exciting community. Additional details
about Hopkins School, our admission and financial aid policies and our admission events can be found
on our website, www.hopkins.edu.
